We’re pretty sure no one has asked you to compare Olive, Mice and Pig before. Perhaps? It is expected not to happen. Well, that’s what we want to do today.

With the latest Pokémon Scarlett and Violet trailer, not only did we get November 1 release dateBut we also got to see some new ‘mons’ three new starter pokemon, And, well, we tip our Ash Ketchum cap to Game Freak and The Pokémon Company, because from what we’ve seen, the generation 9 roster is going to be an eclectic and pretty incredible bunch.

This new trailer brings us three new regular Pocket Monsters along with two starring veterans. If you’re after full stats and a Pokedex-style rundown, check out our running list All the new Pokémon we’ve seen in the game so far – Here we are going purely on experience and instinct.

Well, here is the one that is most likely your ‘Pikachu clone’ of the generation. Every so often we wonder if we need another electric mouse, one comes along and gives us “awwwww!” just look at it! Those warm little eyes spread happiness. And we can’t resist that little tuft of fur on his head – we just want to go out there and pummel it up a bit!

if we’re going to be really Something different could have been a nice touch for the picky, electric cheek pouch.

lechonko

Ah, the star of social media. LeChonk might have one of the best Pokémon names ever, and we can’t resist a good laugh here. We could go on here for a while about Lechonque – sad eyes, brown markings on his face, pink muzzle and toes, little tail,

Pig Pokémon have often suffered along their evolutionary lines over the years, so we hope that LeChonk gets the full evolution he so deserves, otherwise we’re never going to develop our own.

smolivo

Food Pokémon can be a bit hit and miss, but Smoliv is definitely on the sweet side. Its jagged mouth, empty eyes, and wobbly posture make it a lot of concern – and we’re going to do everything we can to save it. Please don’t try and knock it, no matter what you do.

However, we want to see the little girl with a smile. Don’t tell us this is his only manifestation, game freaks, we’ll worry about him until we get the game! Even if they can go a week without eating and drinking, we’ll still worry!

This is a pretty strong performance after our grass/fire/water starter trio, who have already made a cracking first impression in February.

The Pokémon Company is getting a little more cautious on details about Legends of Scarlett and Violet, but let’s go ahead and meet them too, shall we?

coradon and miradon

Definitely two of the most interesting mythological designs we’ve seen in a while, with pretty eye-catching color palettes. We only go for looks, and first impressions are pretty dazzling.

The Coradon, at left, is a beautiful prehistoric bird/lizard design. Does he have a slight smile on his face too? Well, with plums like these, we might be feeling pretty smug too. The mix of colors is also perfect – white and black on the body and tail, as well as blue and pink on the wings – as it breaks up the boldness of the red.

Miradon is pretty much unnatural—in a good way! Is that energy or electricity running through it? Its purple ‘skin’ looks metallic. it is Ambulatory, There’s a lot of unusual stuff going on here that’s really fun – like someone smooching Lunala together with Xechrome and adding some robot parts. The pixelated eyes are just the icing on the cake, and we love the various shades of purple and the splashes of luminescent yellow all over its body.

So, with everything we know about these new Pokémon, and with a few days in our belt, we all have a little bit to swoon, obsess, and think about these new little (and big) critters. there is time. Have Wulu and Morpeko been dethroned by Lechonk and Powmi? Do Coraidon and Miraidon trample Zassian and Zamazenta? and – what we really Want to know – who’s your pack for the best Pokémon ever from Scarlett and Violet?

Vote in our poll below to tell us, then tell us about your picks in the comments! We know, it’s tough, but we trust you – you can choose!
