The Internet Is Melting Over A Video Of The Queen And Paddington

To celebrate the 70th year of her role as the Queen, Buckingham Palace is hosting a number of celebrations to mark the milestone. However, the royal palace pulled out all the stops and enlisted the help of Britain’s biggest figure – Paddington.

In the video Paddington and Rani are sitting at opposite ends of a bogie table with a jolly ol’ chat and a cuppa. Presumably, they’re discussing the best way to tumble-dry Paddington’s blue coat without ripping the buttons.

Being the gentleman (or should I say, the gentleman) Paddington is, he serves his majesty a marmalade sandwich. Queen Lizzie responds by telling Paddington that she also lathers up with a cheeky marmalade. Twins.

“I’ll keep mine here,” she says, pointing to her handbag, “for later.” Damn it, I hope no nightclub security guard will ever bag-check the Queen. She will be in conflict!

Paddington then tips his little red hat and wishes the Queen a happy jubilee. I swear to God, where can I find a good man to wish me a happy jubilee? uh.

The video ends with Queen tapping the beat to Queen’s (band) ‘We Will Rock You’ with a spoon on a cup and saucer. At this point I had come to believe that I was hallucinating but apparently not. There were no people on Twitter either.

Since early fall Sunday morning, the collab we never needed has gone viral around the world.

Buckingham Palace will be glad the sketch has panned out so well after the controversy that led to the Platinum Jubilee.

It was announced in early May Prince Andrew, Prince Harry And Meghan Markle The Duchess of Sussex will not be allowed to sit in the royal balcony during the festival.
